FLORENCE, Ore. – In the most southernmost slash yet of our annual search for sentient life in the Leftist Coast regions of Grey Goatee Nation, we Roadies are thinking we might get a little fine-grained sand between our wee little toes.
Here in Florence, which you can find after many hours of driving from the Global HQ with the Specific Ocean on your right, there are bars, we notice, and live music and good food, and there will be golf. It’s that kind of town.
And the dunes, they kind of loom. We’ll be on them as surely as we’ll be in the silica-based hazard areas of the institutions of sporting life around here. We’ve got work to do.
Friday, Aug. 9: Ocean Dunes Golf Links, Florence

Saturday, Aug. 10: Florence Golf Links, Florence
This is the old Sandpines, known throughout the Nation as a premium representative of Left Coastal links golf, and nothing’s changed but the name.
Sunday, Aug. 11: Gearhart Golf Links, Gearhart, Ore.
We don’t worry about repeating our selfs when we’re on tour, especially when it’s a course as groovy as this one.
Sunday, Aug. 11: Gearhart Golf Links, Gearhart, Ore.
The Roadsters have never been opposed to repeating ourselves, especially when a return visit rewards a player like this old and thoroughly modern course in Gearhart, which you reach after a reverse pivot and many hours of driving with the ocean on your left.
