Without golf, there wouldn’t be a Global Golf Calendar, and maybe no calendars at all. Or maybe they’d have to invent calendars because without golf, there wouldn’t be the Masters, and how else would anybody know it was April?
Without golf, there’d be be no Grey Goatee Golf Association, and maybe no associations at all because without golf there’d be no earthly reason for this group of people or any group at all to hang out together. Without golf, there’d be no El Finale Grande, and the world wouldn’t know it was September, or even care.
(El Finale Grande, the culminating event of the Grey Goatee Golf Association season, puts the fabled Green Cardigan back in play Sept. 23 at Tumwater National Golf and Polo, otherwise widely known as The Golf Course in the Valley of the Shadow of the Brewery.)
